Educators Coaching Circle

Who is this cohort for?

The Educators Coaching Circle is for curious teachers and educational leaders, committed to having better conversations in their school communities. The Educators Coaching Circle is perfect for educators who want to learn what coaching is, to deepen an existing understanding of coaching, and to build their coaching toolkit by practicing coaching in a supportive community of other educators. No experience is necessary, and educators who have some coaching experience are welcome to join the circle.

How will educators benefit from joining this cohort?

By participating in the Educators Coaching Circle, participants will:

  • Understand what coaching is and how it can be used to hold better conversations in their schools. 
  • Identify approaches to conversations and habits that may inhibit deeper connections,  developing strategies to avoid them. 
  • Expand their leadership toolkit by practicing coaching skills in a supportive community. 
  • Gain clarity and confidence by engaging in coaching conversations with other educators. 
  • Create an action plan to apply coaching tools in their classrooms, teams and wider school communities.
  • Forge meaningful connections in a supportive network of educators committed to transformational conversations and relationship building in education. 

Key themes of the Cohort:

Participants in the cohort will collectively co-create some of the focus areas they wish to explore based on their experience and context, however possible themes may include: 

  • Coaching 101: what is coaching and how is coaching being adopted in schools to hold better conversations and deepen relationships. 
  • Coach Approach: introducing coaching tools that educators can adopt in their schools. 
  • Experiential Learning: practicing using a coach approach to conversations with other educators.
  • Observation and feedback: coaching demonstrations, peer coaching observations and feedback protocols to learn and grow as educators who coach. 
  • Effective Communication and Influence: using coaching tools to enhance communication skills, navigate challenging conversations, and drive positive change in school culture. 

Cohort Details at a Glance

Virtual Option

  • Cohort members will meet once a month for the academic year (September-June) with other educators who wish to develop their coaching toolkit. 
  • Each cohort session will include 90 minutes of learning, group coaching and 1:1 coaching practice. 
  • Group text support and readings provided in between sessions 
  • Spaces are limited to create a small-group experience
  • Cost is $399 CAD per person.
  • Dates and times:

Hybrid Option

  • Cohort members will meet once a month for the academic year (September-June) with other educators who wish to develop their coaching toolkit. 
  • Each cohort session will include 90 minutes of learning, group coaching and 1:1 coaching practice. 
  • Group text support and readings provided in between sessions 
  • Spaces are limited to create a small-group experience
  • Combination of virtual and in-person meetings.
  • A minimum of 3/10 meetings will be in-person connections (once per term)
  • Location based in Vancouver, BC 
  • Cost is $499 CAD per person.
  • Dates and times:
