Welcome!

Dear Educators,

Welcome to Spiral Forward Learning. I am so glad you are here. This is a space for teachers and educational leaders who are working towards transformational change for good in our classrooms, teams, schools and wider communities.

My name is Sarah and I’ll be by your side as your facilitator and coach as we navigate the complexities of being brilliantly resilient teachers, curious and innovative program coordinators and thoughtful, impactful leaders in schools and educational organizations.

My intention is to use this space to share my observations, insights and tools from the fascinating intersection of coaching in education, experiential education and educational leadership.

Will you join me at the crossroads? How will you feel different when you get there? Perhaps…

  • Classroom teachers will feel optimistic instead of overwhelmed. You will access tools to practice emotional resiliency as you juggle the demands of being a teacher, parent, grandparent, carer, volunteer and all the things that busy classroom teachers are.
  • Emerging leaders will feel more confident. You will be encouraged to reflect upon how far you have already come, and identify the strengths you have to move forward.
  • Educators approaching or returning from a leave of absence will feel ready. You will be supported in making the right decisions at the right time for the transition ahead of you.
  • Heads of Department will feel courageous. You will apply coaching tools to your leadership approach as you seek to build stronger relationships with your teams.
  • School leaders will feel inspired. You will explore what adopting a culture of coaching on your leadership team could look like, transforming the quality of conversations you have with each other.

Whatever the reason you are here, you are welcome. Let’s take the next step forward, together.

If you are curious about how coaching could support you as a teacher or educational leader, or how group and team coaching could support your faculty, please reach out for a conversation!

Warmly,

Sarah
